About Our Church

Nova Vida Church started in February 2003 in Regents park, under the leadership of Ps Abel and Paula Guerreiro and we were about 35 people including children.

The Lord gave us the acronym TEA – Train, Equip and Apply or Attack. By the Grace of God we have grown and currently have in attendance about 400 people including children.

Nova Vida Church has used the children’s church and Youth as an evangelistic tool to impact the community and as a result have grown the Sunday School to 150 and Youth to 50 currently.

For the past 3-4 years we have intentionally entered the ATTACK mode with projects such as the informal settlement Marathon Community Church, the Youth 3:16 Centre (recreation and outreach), the Arise and Shine Centre ( crèche and aftercare), Arise & Shine College (school from grade 1-3) as well as the Life Counselling Centre (lay counselling offered to the community) All the time we are continuing with the TRAINING and  EQUIPPING through our Sunday Services, Bible College and Homecells.

We are a church that is passionate about Worship and Fellowship and we know that we are going to grow even further, as the Lord leads us.

We hang onto our key verse in Exodus 33:15 “If Your presence does not go with us, do not lead us up from here.” God has been present Hallelujah!
